Who Could Forget 80's TV?!

From Punky Brewster to Silver Spoons, you gotta love 80's tv!! There were so many fun shows back then, TV just isn't the same! Does anyone remember Dance Fever or Dance Party USA? How about People's Court? Below are a few of the shows that I used to love growing up. What did you watch?? Leave a comment about your favorites, and take my poll!!

A Different World, Charles in Charge, Cosby Show, Too Close For Comfort, Diff'rent Strokes, Silver Spoons, Facts of Life, Little House On The Prairie, Bewitched, Family Ties, Punky Brewster, Gimme A Break - anyone remember that one? The Hogan Family, Incredible Hulk, Growing Pains, Fraggle Rock, Who's The Boss, Mr. Belvedere, Moonlighting, Perfect Strangers, Step-by-Step, Small Wonder, Three's Company, Knight Rider (go David Hasselhoff!) Webster, my absolute favorites were 21 Jumpstreet (Who didn't love that one?!) and CHiPs (and of course every time the theme for this came on, my family would GROAN!)

My mom used to like "Alice" and "Mission: Impossible" with the old[er] guy she thought was handsome, (what was his name?)

There were so many others!! I just loved 80's TV! And what about all the old 80's cartoons?! That, my friends, is a whole 'nother story!

And if you can think of any other great ones I may have missed, leave 'em in the comments!

Updates!

It's been a few days since I updated what's going on around here, so I thought I'd post some updates! I've started feeling the baby move, it's fun! Little flutters in my tummy, it's so cute! The first little pop I felt in there, I was like, "Was that the baby??" I believe it was! And she's a little more active now, it's cool! My brother's birthday was yesterday and I wanted to wish him a HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Another year younger! Birthdays are fun!

We went up to my cousin Mercedes' bridal shower yesterday, she's such a cute girl!! I just want to wish them congratulations! I am happy for them, it's an exciting time in their lives!

Finally, my dear friend Lacee got married, and I wanted to wish them congratulations as well! I'm so happy for both of them, I hope that they have a wonderful life together! She's a beautiful bride! And of course, he's a handsome groom! Congrats Lacee & Travis! I love that bridal picture of you in the field, Lace! Gorgeous!

I guess that's it for now!! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

What's Up With That . . .

!?
I just noticed an article about Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's new baby girl they named Sunday, and I had to do a blog about some of the other names that celebrities have for their kids! I've done a search on celebrity baby names and below is a list of what I found. These are actual names, I don't know about some of these!
Some of the more popular celebrities' kids are:

Shania Twain - Eja (how would you say that?)
Nicolas Cage - Kal-el (isn't that Superman's name?)
U2 artist Bono - Memphis Eve
Another U2 artist named The Edge - Blue Angel
Jermaine Jackson - Jermajesty
Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes - Suri
Alec Baldwin & Kim Basinger - Ireland
Julia Roberts twin boy and girl - Phinnaeus & Hazel
Gwyneth Paltrow & Chris Martin - Apple
Mia Farrow & Woody Allen - Satchel
Bruce Willis & Demi Moore - Rumer, Scout, Tallulah Belle
David & Angie Bowie - Zowie (who has since changed his name)
Will & Jada Pinkett Smith - Willow
Arlyn & John Phoenix - River
Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie - Maddox, Shiloh, and twins Knox Leon & Vivienne Marcheline
Duran Duran artist Simon LeBon - Saffron Sahara
George Foreman (former heavyweight champion) - George Junior, George III, George IV, George V, George VI, Freeda George, Georgetta
Some of these other celebrities I don't know, but the kids' names are still quite interesting!
Rob Morrow - Tu (That's right, Tu Morrow!) (doesn't that make you wanna sing, "tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya! Tomorrow!" Okay, on with the list!)
Helena Bonham Carter (main girl's voice in Corpse Bride) - Mingus
Keith Richards - Dandelion
Erykah Badu - Puma, Seven They get stranger - keep reading!! :)
Forest Whitaker - Sonnet, Ocean
Patrick & Rachel Griffiths - Banjo (Strum, strum...)
Robert Rodriguez - Rogue, Rocket, Rebel, Racer
Lil' Mo (R&B artist) - God'iss Love Stone, Heaven
The following are my favorites and the most unusual, in my opinion!
Frank & Gail Zappa - Moon Unit, Diva Muffin, and . . . Dweezil?!
Chef Jamie Oliver - Dixie Dot, Poppy Honey, Daisy Boo
Paula Yates & Michael Hutchence - Tiger Lily Heavenly Hirani
Paula Yates & Bob Geldoff - Fifi Trixibelle, Pixie, and (all one name!) Peaches Honeyblossom Michelle Charlotte Angel Vanessa (Kinda makes me think of the following conversation: "honey, the baby's been born, what should we name her? Michelle?" "No" "Charlotte?" "No" "Angel?" "No" "Vanessa??" "No," "How about...ALL of those?" "Yes, that's perfect, and add a few more too!!!")
And the top 3 weirdest celebrity kids names are:
Jason Lee & Beth Riesgraf - Pilot Inspektor
Penn Gillette - Moxie Crimefighter
Shannon Sossaman & Dallas Clayton - Audio Science
Juan and I have therefore decided to change our baby's name from Sierra Nicholle Silva to something like Saturday Tuesday Silva, or Toyota Nike Ipod Silva, whaddya think?! Vote on those two! ~hahahahahahaha~ :)

Happy Birthday to my sweetie!

My sweet husband's birthday was on Thursday, July 10th and we had a really fun party on Saturday, the 12th. We had family and some of his friends get together, and of course, one friend had to smear him with cake - eww! We also announced what we're having, it was hard to hold it in from family for two days. I hope everyone had fun. I love getting together with family, we need to do it more often! Just wanted to wish you a happy, happy birthday, Juan, I love you!! So does baby Sierra!

And The Baby Is . . .

That's right - it's a girl!! We went to the doctor on Thursday, July 10th (Juan's birthday!) and the nurse was looking at everything, she said it all looks normal and good. Then she said, "You wanna know what it is?" and I said, "Of course!" She said, "There's no sign of outdoor waterworks, it's a girl!" We're so excited to finally be able to call her a name. Her name will be Sierra Nicholle Silva, I love it! There's some more pictures of her below. The first one is a foot, the second one is her profile, and the third one is her face looking out the screen to say hello! "Hi baby! Can't wait to see you in November!" And of course, the fourth picture is some cute little things I got her - so it begins!! lol

"A Walk Down Memory Lane"

I copied this from my sister-in-law's blog. Memory Lane, here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll email my memory to you, just let me know.

Whatever you can remember about me - funny, strange, cool, embarrassing, awful, etc. leave it in the comments! Thanks for playing!

Sarelle's family videos

I just wanted to tell everyone that Sarelle has posted some family videos on youtube. If you go to youtube and type sarelled in the search box, it'll bring up her cute family videos, they're fun to watch. I sure miss those guys!! Can't wait to see 'em at Thanksgiving! There's a link to youtube on my faves list on the right! Also, be sure to try out my new game at the bottom of the page. You have to create a chain reaction and you just get one click each round, so make it a good one and click in a spot where there is a lot of dots, or where you think they're going. Takes a little practice but you'll get it. I love games - speaking of which, when we having another game night?!

Happy Fourth of July Everyone!!

Can't have the fourth without...FIREWORKS!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday yesterday, and that you got to see some cool fireworks. We did! Our day began at the crack of dawn in Provo to watch the annual hot air balloon launch: (And as you can see, Juan is WIDE awake!)

It was a beautiful morning! Not too cold and not too hot - - yet!

Next, it was off to watch the Provo parade!

And after that, we went with my mom, Dave and Juan's friend, Juan, to play a friendly round of mini golf! Some people in our group were able to get a hole in one.

And finally, to end a perfectly busy, but fun day, we went to see some fireworks. That always makes a good ending! I hope everyone had as much fun as we did! And now...Juan is all tuckered out! He's off taking a nap! ...zzZZ

P.S. 5 days til we find out the baby's gender - YAY!!

"A Gift From God"

We went to the Orem Summerfest in June and as we were passing some of the booths, I saw this booth full of paintings and stopped because I saw this painting of Christ holding a little baby entitled 'A Gift From God' and I just stared at it for a long, long time, I loved it so much! It's such a beautiful painting, and the guy at the booth gave me a little card with this picture on it and I put it in my purse and take it everywhere, I just love it. I kind of feel that way right now, that the Lord is watching over my sweet baby before it comes to me. I just wanted to share that. This picture is amazing, and you can go to http://www.hegsted.com/ to see more of his stuff.
